3/23/2022. The Syrian Democratic Left Party signed the united call “For a major international campaign of support and solidarity with the Ukrainian resistance. For the defeat of the Russian army invasion! No to NATO.”
The Syrian Democratic Left Party is an important organizational part of the Syrian people’s struggle against the Al Assad dictatorship. Their adherence to the call was made a few days after a massive popular demonstration against Al Assad and against Putin took place in the Syrian city of Idlib, a city that remains in rebellion not occupied by the dictatorship, who also expressed their solidarity with the resistance of the Ukrainian people against the Russian invaders.
The Syrian people have especially suffered from Putin’s Russian imperialism, which sent troops and planes to Syria in 2015 to support the dictator and bombed, among others, the city of Idlib.
This appeal, initially signed by the International Workers Unity-Fourth International (ITU-CI), the International Workers League-Fourth International (LIT-CI) and the International Revolutionary Communist Current (CCRI), is unitary and open to the adherence of other organizations in solidarity with the struggle of the Ukrainian people.
Recently, the organization Opinion Socialista de Argentina also joined the call.
The Committee for Revolutionary International Regroupment (CRIR) also adheres to this call.
We call to join and support this united campaign ( see the full text of the call at www.uit-ci.org ).
