WEBINAR VIDEO: Afghanistan — Today’s defeat of imperialism & tomorrow’s defeat of the Taliban

This panel discussion took place on Sept. 12, 2021. Watch the video now!

The bloody, two-decade occupation of Afghanistan by the U.S. has finally ended. The mainstream media and the Biden administration hope to bury the truth about the reactionary goals and violent methods that Washington employed to prevent a democratic government from coming to power from the 1970s through Aug. 31 of this year.

The Revolutionary Association of the Women of Afghanistan reinforced these truths for U.S. antiwar activists. On the occasion of the U.S. retreat, they said, ”In the past 20 years, one of our demands was an end to the US/NATO occupation and even better if they take their Islamic fundamentalists and technocrats with them and let our people decide their own fate. This occupation only resulted in bloodshed, destruction and chaos. They turned our country into the most corrupt, insecure, drug-mafia and dangerous place especially for women.”

Today, the people of Afghanistan renew the struggle for a democratic society against the misogynous Taliban and other warlords who are challenging them.
