Convened by the Mesa de la Unidad Democrática (MUD) , a rightwing bourgeois opposition front with the slogans of “Out Now! , the streets won”,  there were demonstrations in several cities which were attended by students and the grassroots from across the country.
In this context, after clashes between protesters and those law enforcement agencies of the state, and even including  paramilitary organizations , the result was three dead , 69 wounded, and another wave  of detainees, including those who have large numbers of students .
The socialists of  UST do not participate in these manifestations , and call not to go to the manifestations of these bourgeois parties , because their slogans and objectives are not those of the working class, but that cover , based on popular discontent , the own adjustment/austerity plan against the people, and for businesses and corporations.
From UST, we repudiate the violent repression against those who mobilized and manifested.
