| We present below two articles in honor of the 93 years of the Russian Revolution, occurred on October 25, 1917 in the byzantine calendar, which corresponds to November 7, 1917 in the occidental calendar. They were published in the IWL-FI’s journal of theory and policy,Marxism Alive n. 16: What was the Russian Revolution?, by Leon Trotsky, and Restoration did not prove the superiority of capitalism, by Martín Hernández. Both are important tools for understanding the historical and political mechanisms that led to the seizure of power by the proletariat in tsarist Russia, as well as the resumption of the first workers’ state of the world by imperialism, with the invaluable assistance of the Stalinist bureaucracy.
