Soon after the assembly, the workers entered into the factory, but remain stopped.<br \/>\nAt a meeting held yesterday between Metalworkers Union of S\u00e3o Jos\u00e9 dos Campos and General Motors, the company proposed the temporary suspension of 794 workers Employment Contracts for two months. After that, all those workers would be fired.<br \/>\nCurrently, the Sao Jos\u00e9 dos Campos plant has about 5,200 workers and produces 300 vehicles per day, of S10 pickup trucks and Chevrolet Trailblazer models.<br \/>\n&#8220;The strike is the only way we can stop mass dismissals from taking place at GM.
