\nLet’s face the ‘Big Deal’ between government and employers.<\/em>
\nThe ‘peace’ Conference is nothing but an agreement between employers, government and opposition sectors, with the blessing of the Church and imperialism to impose the austerity against workers. We must fight them and build a working class program to face the country’s crisis. In this sense, the call made \u200b\u200bby the Socialism and Freedom Party to discuss a program and a fighting plan is a very important step. We make this our call to other sectors as FADESS, UNETE and fighters from social movements and unions to participate in this discussion.
\nSome proposals to build a meeting of the working class<\/strong>
\nThe Socialist Unity of Workers (UST) has said that the workers fighters and popular sectors, given the serious crisis facing the country, the result of 15 years of capitalist economy that favors large national and multinational companies, as the oil and the food industry, among others, must raise an alternative path for the working class independence. A program that meets the needs of the exploited and not the exploiters and to split with imperialism, against its plunder of our money and wealth.
\nTherefore, we defend the suspension of payment of both the state\u2019s and PDVSA\u2019s foreign debts, the investigation of who took over US$ 20 billion through the so-called “shell companies”, to expropriate and recover them. This money must be used in the reactivation of basic goods companies under workers’ control and not bureaucrats, in building schools and hospitals.
\nTo enact an emergency wage increase for all workers according to the staples prices increase. Real taxation of multinational and large companies, nationalization of all oil industries, putting an end to “joint ventures” with which imperialism controls our oil.
\nBy increasing the budget for education, with decent wages for teachers and researchers, the real participation of the student movement in the university governance to discuss the country’s needs. Defense of job security and all our achievements against the attacks of the government and employers! For the reconquest and defense of rank and file unions and the end of the employers-government intervention in our organizations.
\nWe need a plan of struggle to face the deals and pacts between employers, the opposition and the government. We demand the formation of a special committee, independent from the government and the opposition, with the participation of human rights organizations, trade unions and popular organizations to investigate the killings of activists and the repression of the demonstrations.
\nMoreover, we, from the UST, continue the struggle to build a political party to fight for a workers’ government.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
