Activists and community members have resoundingly stated that there is broad opposition to the construction of what would be one of the United States\u2019 largest police-training facilities on the ashes of the Weelaunee Forest in Atlanta. Dubbed \u201cCop City,\u201d the training center would be right next to multiple working-class and predominantly Black neighborhoods. The campaign to Stop Cop City, like many other environmental fights that have cropped up, is not just a struggle against climate destruction but also against racism, colonialism, and police violence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Join us as working-class and socialist activists from across the United States and in Brazil discuss the campaign to Stop Cop City and Defend the Atlanta Forest, as well as the broader fight against environmental racism around the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
